The processes of production and processing stages
In its Uboldo facility MAP has all the processes needed for the transformation of steel into the finished roller. For specific heat or surface treatment, the company uses certified suppliers whose quality has been tested over many years.
All roller working phases are carried out within the facility. For each step, MAP has machinery able to guarantee the precision and repeatability required by leading automotive customers and by the bearing and linear bearing industry.
The machinery and plant have all control and monitoring instruments able to guarantee the conformity of the product in every single step of working.
MAP has workshops equipped for:
- cutoff and die forming of rollers
- bar turning
- tumbling and washing
- 100Cr6 heat treatment (hardening, cryogenic and tempering)
- roller face grinding
- plunge and thru-feed grinding of the rolling surface with cylindrical, ZB or logarithmic shape.
- Cylindrical surface superfinishing.
- Roller selection in one micron classes.
